ADJUDICATOR- KYOKO HASHIMOTO

Kyoko Hashimoto is an internationally acclaimed pianist praised by György Sebök as possessing “extraordinary musical talent.” Born in Tokyo, she began piano studies at age three and later studied at the Toho-Gakuen School of Music, the International Menuhin Music Academy, Indiana University, and the Juilliard School, working with distinguished teachers including Sebök and Menahem Pressler.

Hashimoto has performed in more than 30 countries at major venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Wigmore Hall, and the Concertgebouw, and has appeared at leading international festivals including the Prague Spring Festival. A highly regarded soloist and chamber musician, she has collaborated with many prominent artists and maintains an extensive repertoire spanning Baroque to contemporary works. Her recordings have been broadcast internationally, including by the BBC and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Hashimoto is Professor of Piano and Coordinator of the Piano Area at McGill University in Montreal and is widely sought after as a masterclass teacher, adjudicator, and mentor to young pianists worldwide.
