JazzWorks' Vocal Open Mics provide a wonderful opportunity for Ottawa-area vocalists to hone their skills in a warm, nurturing environment, under the mentorship of a professional jazz musician-educator. Vocalists receive valuable feedback on stylistics and technique and gain confidence in performance practice.
This activity is first-come, first-serve with a around 12 singers having the chance each session. Doors are open to all, so even if you would like to come check out a session as an audience member, you are welcome.
Vocalists, if you would like to arrive early, please note that you will be asked to wait in the hall until 2:00pm.
VOMs happen on the first Sunday of every month from October to May.
