The Schliewen family is pleased to provide this beloved Steinway Model B piano on loan for the enjoyment of pianists in the Ottawa area. Wita purchased this piano in 1978 and cared for it over nearly 5 decades. She shared her love of piano and classical music with her daughter Katrin. Twenty years ago, Wita remodelled her home to create a large music room which housed her piano and invited music lovers to countless lively chamber music concerts. It is Wita’s greatest wish that her piano continue to be cared for, played, and enjoyed by local musicians.
